The invitation from Hill’s Pet Nutrition to attend their Media and Blogger tour in Topeka tomorrow came as a surprise to me and honestly, I wasn’t sure about coming. There are a lot of opinions within the dog fancy about Science Diet - and Hills Pet foods, in general. That alone made my decision easy. Why wouldn’t I want to learn for myself what the company and their food is about?
It’s early yet. I’ve only just checked into my hotel room after a 90 minute drive from the Kansas City airport where, if I may so opine, the baggage areas are very confusing.
At some point very soon, I’ll need to do more than just stare at my computer and the header on my blog site. I’ll want to write a fair assessment of what I hear tomorrow. The Hills Pet Nutrition people have brought together an assortment of bloggers, writers & pet health professionals. We come from different backgrounds, but having met some of these people before, I feel sure that ultimately, we'll strive for facts. On Facebook, I asked for suggestions on what questions to ask and got some good ones from fellow owners/breeders and handlers.
In a short while, we’re heading to the Kansas History Museum for dinner and will be meeting the Hill’s representatives for the first time. I can’t decide whether to start out with a giant Mimosa or pace myself and ease into it.
Best to make a game day decision on that one.
